Bemidji State University is located on Lake Bemidji. The campuses football field is located on the lake, and each time their football team wins, all the players jump into the lake. Bemidji is most known for education majors, and Bemidji is the only 4-year undergrad school that has an exhibit design program.

The most popular major is business administration, and within business administration there are 5 different emphases.
3. What are a few examples of clubs and activities available to students?
Bemidji is a outdoorsy school with an outdoors program center. There are many different clubs including fishing team/club, swing dance club, photography club, and many different academic clubs for different majors.
4. How are the athletics at your school?
Bemidji offers three different opportunities for students to do sports: intramurals, club sports, and D2 sports, except ice hockey for men and women is D1. Bemidji is an ice hockey and football school. The women's soccer and track team are very good as well.
5. How would you characterize the students who come to your school?
A wide range of different students come to Bemidji. Many of their students are outdoorsy and artistic.
6. How easy is it to double major?
Double majoring at Bemidji is pretty easy. The best thing about double majoring at Bemidji is that they have a banded tuition. This means that 12-18 credits cost the same amount of money.
7. How is it for students when they come undecided (have not picked a major)?
Coming undecided to any college is a “blessing in disguise” because you have so many options to choose from. Bemidji offer lots of resources for undecided students with over 60 majors to choose from.
8. Do students study abroad?
Most students at Bemidji can and do study abroad. The trips range from 2 weeks to a full semester. Bemidji also offers euro spring to study at Oxford University.
9. How accessible are professors?
Professors at Bemidji are super accessible with a student to staff ratio of 19:l. Bemidji is a medium size school but on the small end. Professors know your name, what you want to do and where you want to go.
10.What is something that you want someone applying to your school to know before applying?
Kim’s best advice is to come and visit. She said that Bemidji is a larger community than most people think, and that if you aren’t an outdoorsy person now, then if you come you will become one.
